Birth

Jeremiah "Sabin" (Jr.), son of Jeremiah "Sabin" and Mary (Abbott) Sabin was born circa 1732 [1] and baptized 3 Sep 1736 with his siblings Simon "Sebins" and Esther "Sebins" at the First Church of Berwick, York county, Maine. [2] The vital records taken from the First Church of Berwick spell the family name "Sebins and Sabins". His parents, "Jeremiah Sabens" and Mary Abbot, daughter of Joseph Abbot and Alice (Nason) Abbot, were married 23 September 1724 in Upper Kittery, now Berwick, Massachusetts Bay Colony, Province of Maine. [3]

Marriage and Children

Jeremiah married Susanna "LeVallee" about 1750 at at Berwick, York, Maine. [1] She is believed to have been the daughter of Peter and Elizabeth "LeValley" of Marblehead, Essex county, Massachusetts and later Warwick, Rhode Island.

Jeremiah and Susanna Sabean had the following known children born at Berwick, York county Maine and later at their relocated home in Annapolis county, Nova Scotia (one of the original August 1759 founding counties):

[Morris quoting IGI]; Bordon Thurber was companion to father Jeremiah Sabean in settling Weymouth in 1765. He was in Freeport by 1795.; she d. bef 1803
  2. Mary, b. abt 1749, Berwick, York, ME. [1] ; m. John Grant, s. David & Susanna Grant, c. 1774 at Annapolis county, he was a farmer, in 1783 he & father-in-law Jeremiah Sabean had adjoining lots in Conway twp (later Digby county), Annapolis county. [4] ; she was prob. 25th person to sign original membership list of Sissiboo Baptist Church; resided Weymouth, N.S.; d. aft 1797 [1]
