https://www.myheritage.com/research/record-10109-54718889/jeremiah-...
On March 6, 1813 (Fairfax Deeds Book:168), the "children and heirs of Jeremiah Spurling (who) departed this life without a will," sold their interests in his Pittsylvania holdings for $600 to Clement W. Hurdle of Alexandria, District of Columbia. By name, these heirs were identified as William Spurling; Ann, wife of Robert Reed; Sarah, wife of Joseph Sewell; Mary, wife of James Robertson; Henson Spurling, and Thomas Spurling, six in all. Another son, John Spurling, had died a few years earlier, without leaving any family.
