Jeremy Houchin a tanner of Dorchester, was a proprietor before 1639. He was admitted to the church with his wife in 1639, and was a freeman May 16, 1640.

Biography

Jeremy Houchin was born circa December 1, 1617, in Rickinghall, Suffolk, England. His parents were William Houchin, Jr and Esther Houchin. He was a tanner and proprietor. He removed to Boston and was a town officer. Jeremy was an Ensign in 1655, and Deputy from Hingham to the Massachusetts General Courts 1651, '55, '57, '58, '59 ',63, '64, '65, '67.

Jeremy married Esther Houchin on August 16, 1636, in St. Virgin Mary's, Pulham, Norfolk, UK . Together they had the following children:
