Her husband, Capt. Joshua Abel, second son of Elizabeth Sluman and Samuel Abel of Norwich, Connecticut, was born at Norwich on November 23, 1706. Joshua married (1) Jerusha Frink, (2) Anne Backus, (3) Mrs. Anne Bingham Turner, and (4) Mrs. Lydia Hyde. [2] Jerusha Frink and Joshua Abel were married on February 5, 1730. They settled at Norwich, and she died there on March 1, 1742 after having eight children together.
