About Jesse Arledge
An active lawyer and politician from Decherd, Franklin County, TN. Served as State Legislator, State Senator and on the committee to rewrite the Tennessee Constitution following the Civil War. Was involved in a political scandal involving his arrest during Reconstruction for allegedly distilling spirits without proper license, and the mayhem that followed it, but the case was later dismissed.
