About Jesse Hubert Cornish
Jesse Hubert Cornish enlisted in Co. E, 38th Wisconsin Volunteers, in the War of the Rebellion, and served with his regiment until he was severely wounded at Petersburg, Va., July 30, 1864. He settled at Hortonville, Wis., where he engaged in farming and lumbering while his health permitted him. He was a man of genial disposition and well beloved by all his friends, was a prominent member of the G. A. R. and an influential citizen.
