Jesse W. Bristow, 73, died March 7, 1993, in Norfolk.

Mr. Bristow was employed at Pyramid Body Works, Norfolk, as an auto metal mechanic. He was a member and deacon of First Baptist Church, Norfolk.

Survivors include his wife, Vernelle Bristow; one daughter, Phyllis White of Chesapeake; one son, the Rev. Wayne D. Bristow of Richmond; two grandchildren, Meredith Bristow and Stacy Bristow, both of Richmond; and an aunt, Annie Powell of Lawrenceville, Va.

A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in First Baptist Church, Norfolk, by the Rev. Richard Baker. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will be at Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel, Virginia Beach, from 7 to 9 p.m. today.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to First Baptist Church Debt Retirement or Youth Ministry.
