Jessie Willard Nichols

NICHOLS, Jessie Willard, 78, of Callaway, died Monday, January 30, 1995, in a Salem hospital. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Jeffrey Nelson Carr and a great-grandson, David Jordon Young. Surviving is his wife, Ethel Hodges Nichols, Callaway; three daughters and sons-in-law, Iris and Nelson Carr, Copper Hill, Linda and Woody Martin, Wilmington, N.C., Hilda Ann and Jeffrey Wray, Gulfport, Miss.; three sons and a daughter-in-law, Gene Nichols, Franklin and Gladys Nichols, all of Callaway, Terry Nichols, Seattle, Wash.; 11 grandsons; nine granddaughters; eight great-grandsons; and eight great-granddaughters; a brother, Ernest L. Nichols, Copper Hill. Funeral services 11 a.m. Thursday at Adney Gap Brethren in Christ Church, with the Rev. Dennis Ritchey officiating, with interment in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Wood Funeral Home, Floyd. 1
