Jimmie Madison Jones

My Granddaddy was a Godly man, he was always active in church and attended church every Sunday that he was able to go. I recall us grandchildren climbing up in his lap or in the swing with him on the front porch and he would sing "The Old Grey Goose" song to us and "She'll Be Coming Round The Mountains". He would drive my Grandmother to town every Saturday and they would buy their groceries, maybe do a little shopping and come back home. My sister and I would help him on Saturday mornings wash his car, he would give up a quarter for helping him. He would let us grand's take turns sitting on the ice-cream churn while he would churn ice-cream for us on hot summer days. He was a gentle soul and I loved him to the moon and back! Terri J Smith
