About Joan Chapman, widow Bennett

After Anne died, Thomas married Joan, the widow of Samuel Bennett. She was born 1585 in England and arrived 1622 in Virginia at the age of 40. She died 1639 in Poquoson, York, Virginia. Samuel Bennett owned 450 acres of land at what is now know as Brown Point, Poquoson, Virginia. This land became was the basis of a lawsuit between the husband of Joan’s daughter, Hannah, and Thomas-2.   

Thomas Chapman and Joan had no children.
