Joan Lee Edmonson Winkler of Coppell, Texas, was born July 4, 1924 in St. Louis, Missouri and passed away in Dallas, Texas, August 29, 2010. She was preceded in death by daughter Jennifer Louise Berrier. Joan's parents were Dean Edwin Edmonson and Marie Struble Edmonson.

Survivors are her husband of 65 years, Edward G. Winkler; children Robert John Winkler & wife Vicki West, Susan Marie Reisor & husband Ken, Mary Elizabeth Greiner, Mark Edward Winkler and John Philip Winkler & wife Stacy; 14 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; brother, Robert Edmonson.

Rosary, 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, Sept 1, St. Joseph Chapel, Coppell.

The Funeral Mass, 11:00 a.m. Thursday, Sept 2, 2010, St. Joseph Chapel, 1201 East Sandy Lake Road, Coppell, Texas. Rev. John Haugh, Presiding.

Interment 2:00 p.m. Dallas-Ft. Worth National Cemetery with U.S. Navy Military Honors.
