  • 1st Town Council of S Kingstown, elected in 1723, consisted of Job Babcock & 5 others. May 1727, Job was chosen Deputy from S Kingstown to Gen'l Court of RI. Jun 1727 he was appointed prothonotary. Feb 1712 in lawsuit bet John Knight & Job abt some Naraganset land, appeal was allowed to Great Britain. (Potter's Early History) 1731, Job conveyed to each of his sons, Job, Samuel & John, certain land.
