About Job Rosell, I
21 Mar 1829, Job Rossell of Franklin Tp, Fayette, PA recorded his will. He directed that his wife Mary Rosell, should keep and retain all the property that she brought to the marriage, also one cow and copper kettle. He also left her a comfortable maintenance and support from the proceeds of his estate so long as she remains his widow. He gave to Elizabeth Hughs one gray mare as compensation for services rendered to the family. His wearing apparel is to be divided equally between his three sons, James, Job and John Rosell. The remainder of his real and personal property to be disposed of as follows: equal parts to son Job Rosell, son John Rosell, daughter Hope Rodgers, daughter Mary Addis, and to grandson Job Rosell some of James. All the above mentioned legacies to wife Mary to be in lieu and stead of her dower at common law. And lastly he appointed his wife and son James as executors. Witnessed by Robert Smith, Robert Smith Jr, and John Patterson. [1]
On the 21 Apr 1820, Robert Smith Esq, before Alexander McClean, Register, that he saw Job Rosell sign the will, while in his right mind and Robert Smith, jr also declared he saw Job Rosell sign. Letters were granted the same day, inventory to be exhibited and settled as usual.[2]
