Jocelyn Claasen (1993 - 2020)

Brief overview:

Jocelyn (27), who was 9 months pregnant, and due to give birth, was shot and killed, and found in an open field at the back of Andromeda Way, Ocean View, WC, on 2nd February 2020. She was murdered with a singe bullet to her head. Jocelyn's mother, Charlotte, said the last time she saw her daughter was around 1am when she was making coffee for herself. “It was at about 1am, she was craving for coffee and was busy making it when I left to go to sleep. A few minutes later, I heard her brother calling her and saying she must (walk) with the dogs when she is going to sleep.” “She always walks with the dogs if she comes here late, and goes to sleep by her boyfriend. He doesn't stay far from here. I was woken up (and told) that her body was found with a bullet in the head.”

Jocelyn was a witness to the attack and shooting of surfer David Wolfromm on 8th May 2019, where the perpetrators covered his bleeding body and dumped him in the boot of his Nissan X-Trail and drove away. She was due to testify and give witness again in court during February 2020.
