Joe Allen Bacon, Sr

Joe Allen Bacon was born April 13, 1945 in Talihina, Oklahoma the son of Silas Bacon and Esther Mae (Jones) Bacon. He went to be with the Lord on April 3, 2015 at the age of 69 years 11 months and 21 days.

Joe married Elaine Guttery on August 10, 1963 at Calvary Baptist Church in Durant, Oklahoma. He was a welder by occupation and a member of the Assembly of God Church in Boswell, Oklahoma. Joe loved hunting, fishing and spending time with his family; but his greatest joy was watching his grandchildren play sports and participate in rodeos.

He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, James Bacon, Miles "Hob" Bacon, Silas "Tommy" Bacon and David Earnest Bacon and three sisters, Esther Lee Crowder, Sadie Robertson and Mary Lou Toepletz.

SURVIVORS INCLUDE: his wife, Brenda Elaine Bacon; two daughters, Charlotte Elaine Kincy and husband, Jeff of Longview, Texas and Shannon Brown and husband, Don of Sonora, Texas; one son, Joe Allen Bacon, Jr. and wife, Cynthia of Choctaw, Oklahoma; two sisters, Adeline Calhoun of San Antonio, Texas and Frances A. Chandler and husband, Kenneth of Calera, Oklahoma; five grandchildren, Jacob and Allyson Bacon of Choctaw, Oklahoma, Collin and Carly Brown of Sonora, Texas and Colton Kincy of Longview, Texas along with a host of other relatives and friends.
