Joel Bachman

Joel was the son of Adam Bachman and Esther "Hettie" Leiby. He married on February 9, 1861, Berks County, Pennsylvania, to Carolyn Neifert. The family is listed in Albany Township, Berks County, Pennsylvania, in 1870. They are in Marion County, Iowa, in 1880. Ancestry.com index has "Badsman".

I looked last year for his burial in Gosport Cemetery and not finding it checked the book written by the Marion Co. genealogical society. It had a notation at the end of the listing of names for Gosport this notation: The following are names of persons taken from the death records of Marion County, Iowa, Books 1-7, listed as having been buried in the Gosport Cemetery, but no tombstone was found for them: and the name of Bachman, Janet Kay 13 Jan 1939 - 15d (Bk. 4, Pg. 36) and Bachman, Joel 30 Dec 1926 - 86y (Bk. 3, Pg. 58) The genealogical society book was compiled in 1974 and of course the WPA information was done in the 30's.
