Cousin Joel was a very merry, cheerful soul, and a big tease. I remember him very fondly. As a child, I remember visiting him and Cousin Frannie at home on Bennington Street in Pittsburgh near our home to swim in their pool and have lunch. They were always wonderful times.
One of the highlights of their lovely home was a full size carousel horse mounted on the landing of the stairs, in a large window fronting on the street. It was a huge treat to be allowed to sit on the horse and "ride" it, and to wave at the occasional passer-by. (by Wendy Hoechstetter)
