Descendants of Johann Justus Wilhelm Meyer is a very comprehensive tree

"An extensive tree of various MEYER family branches stemming from some of the earliest Cape settlers. The principal settlers are Gerrit Hendrik Meyer (Holland) and Johan Justus Wilhelm Meyer (Hameln, Germany).

Research continues on defining additional branches. For those just starting on South African MEYER research, this family tree will prove useful as it contains many names and relationships that have never before been published. The continuing research involves other Meyer genealogical researchers in South Africa and worldwide.

I also maintain detailed records of the death register for all Meyers who died within the George district between 1897 and 1963. In addition, I maintain a detailed breakout of the tax and census records for all Meyer families in the George area between 1801 and 1828.

Although I do not undertake individual research, feel free to contact me by email with any additions, corrections or questions. If it is a simple question and within my power, I am happy to answer it for you.

John M Meyer"

The information given has been used in the b generation - it is not substantiated but is a good starting point. CJB
