A Patriot of the American Revolution for PENNSYLVANIA. DAR Ancestor # A007944

Life

Jacob Boehm, Switzerland, son of Jacob, fled Switzerland and met mennonites in Palatinate. Came at the glowing invitation of Martin Kendig. Lay Elder in Mennonite Society. First blacksmith in Conestoga. "I recollect him well. When I was 5, he walked over the fields showing me various things and trying to entertain me. Not knowing anything about the infirmities of age, I wonder[ed] why he did not walk faster. My GM was an excellent woman particularly fond of me, the youngest grandchild."
