About Johann Adam Fulk (Volck), I
Adam Fulk I was christened Johann Adam Fulk, but he is known as Adam Fulk through the years. He was born September 11, 1753 at Allemaengel, PA and was married by 1773 to Maria Sarah Moser, a daughter of Leonard Moser. He had come to North Carolina with his father in 1767 and bought land on the little Yadkin River in what is now Stokes County, and he became ancestor of what is generally recognized as a Stokes County branch of the family. The Census of 1790 shows that by that time he and his wife had seven sons under 16 years of age. Moravian birth records show five of them, and marriage and census records show the other two. There were two daughters born shortly after 1790/
