“Arrived in Philadelphia 25 November 1740 on the ship LOYAL JUDITH, captained by Lovell Painter. Most of the rest of the 265 passengers were Palatines. It's not clear whether Johann was accompanied by his family on this first arrival; they may have followed later after he had found land and established himself.” [sic: This man could not have arrived on the Loyal Judith on Nov 25, 1740. “It seems unlikely that Johann lived to be almost 100 years old. However, there is documentation that he was married c.1720, and he had several children by 1727.

And he wrote his will on 23 August 1799.” [sic: No, that’s his son]
