He married April 1749 in Germany to his 1st wife was Anna Margareth born 1730 in Germany and died May 18, 1775 in Pennsylvania.
He married 2nd in 1776 in Pennsylvania to Magdalena, she died about 1797.
Lugwig was the 5th son of Chrostope & Veronica. Ludwig arrived in Pennsylvania Oct. 3, 1753. The voyage was made in the ship "Eastern Branch". His relaatives drew a warrant for a tract of land of 25 acres in his name Sept 11, 1751, 2 years before his arrival. He also did service for the Durham Furance Co., later moved to Bucks Co., Pennsylvania and later still to Hamilton twp., Monroe Co., Pa. He was buried in Hamilton Church. from the Book History of Lehigh Co., PA, page 941
