No records specific to Johann remain, however, he is listed on the death records of his wife Catharina Eijgenbrood and daughter Anna Lisa Wagner and his son Jan Casper Wagner as well as Jan's marriage record.
Jan's marriage record describes Johann as a "gepensioneerd luitenant" or retired army officer. Military records of around this time show two Johan Wagners but it is not clear if either of these men is a match for this particular man.
