H. Unruh, p. 316, 342; P. Rempel, p. 73). In the 1808 Molotschna Colony Census he is listed at Muensterberg #15 (B. H. Unruh, p. 316). No one has yet been able to locate any record of his second marriage to Margaretha Wiens or the birth of any of the children of his second marriage. His second wife may have been from the Rosenort Church, his marriage may have occurred there, and the births of his later children may have been recorded in the records there. Unfortunately, those church records have been destroyed. Perhaps state church records will include some information. His age is given as 64 in the 1803 immigration lists, suggesting that he was born ca 1739 (B. H. Unruh, p. 342; P. Rempel, p. 73), but his age is given as 67 in the 1808 Census, suggesting that he was born ca 1741 (B. H. Unruh, p. 316). He must have died before Nov 1811 when the 1811 census of the Molotschna colony was taken. His unmarried children were living with his daughter Maria and her husband Johann Baergen at #15 Munsterberg. This was listed as his homestead in 1808. According to the 1776 census of Mennonites in West Prussia he was living in Schoeneberg with his wife and one son. He was listed as an "Arbeiter" (labourer). He is not found in that village in the 1772 census of West Prussia. Birth Source: Mennonite Migration to Russia, 1788-1828; Rempel, Peter also Redekopp, A.
