The birthplace of Johann Paulus Sach(e) is given as Magdeburg, Johann Paulus is probably identical with J. P. Saxe, who repatriated 1705 and asked to be allowed to work his passage home. (Leibbrandt, Letters desp. 1696-1708, p. 288.) He returned 1706 as sa. and was loaned, 6.11.1706, as farmhand to his brother, Peter Andreas. (CJ 1125: 137.)
