Immigrated to US 15 July 1709 Captain John Encrist's Ship, Rotterdam, Holland and was naturalized as a citzen of the US on 7 September 1715 in Kingston, NY. Starting in October 1710, he resided in West Camp, Ulster Co, NY. He married Anna Appollonia Rapp on 29 January 1704 in Deilkirchen, Pfalz, Bayern, Germany. Anna was baptized on 22 Jan 1682 in the Reformed Church, Oberndorf, Germany, daughter of Hans Peter Rapp and Anna Margretha Sontag5.

Seventeen hundred died at sea or soon after arrival in New York. The surviors were encamped in tents on Governor's Island where they remained until late autumn.
