About Johann Matthias Wagner
Note about parents
A large number of Wagners arrived in Philadelphia between September through early October 1732, on at least three different ships. Many of these were obviously related, while others look potentially related as well. For sure, they all settled in Berks County not far from each other, which is a strong indication of familial affinity.
Web trees give Johann Matthias a birthplace in Germany, with multiple variations, but no consistent parentage. I submit that it's probable that Johann Matthias was in fact related to the other Wagners, and therefore we probably know his parentage and his place of origin (Reihen, Sinsheim, Karlsruhe).
