Johanna Louise Mize

Johanna Louise Mize, 94, Shawnee, died Thursday in a local hospital.

She was born Feb. 25, 1904, in Wellston to B.H. and Lena Wittkopp Meyer. She married Arthur A. "Buck" Mize on Dec. 16, 1922, in Shawnee. She was a homemaker and a member of Liberty Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband in 1967, two brothers, Benny and Willie Meyer, and second husband Fred Luckett.

She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Edward H. and Freda Mize, Shawnee, and Robert and Mallie Mize, Norman; a daughter and son-in-law, Dorothy and Harry Orahood, Oklahoma City; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Fred and Christine Meyer and Dick and Helen Meyer, all of Shawnee; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Resthaven Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Delbert Akin and Steve McDonald officiating. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Park.
