About Johannas E Trexler

From Morton Montgomery History (1909): John Trexler, son of Peter (b. 1721)(also known as "Macungie Peter" and his wife Catharine (Winck) was born 12 Oct. 1750. About 1784 he moved to York couonty. He died 22 June 1829, aged 78-8-10, and was buried on the Gonser farm in the old family cemetery (Breinigsville). Among his children was Solomon, whose son Daniel lived in York county as late as 1869; and Lydia, Mrs. Borger, of Breinigsville.

NOTE: As of 2014, this cemetery is located in a new home development. Directions to locate it are: Travel south on US 222/Hamilton Blvd. from Allentown, Pa, through Trexlertown, past Rt. 100. On Rt. 222 you will come to a traffic light at the intersection of Newtown Rd./Breinigsville Rd. Turn left onto Breinigsville Road, then right at the first intersection, which is Trexler Drive. Follow Trexler Drive (which also becomes Crescent Drive) about 1/2 mile to the first stop sign, which is Schaefer Run Road. Turn right onto Schaefer Run Road, then left onto Swallow Tail Drive (new home development). After about a block turn left onto Viceroy Lane, and about 1/2 block on the left is the Trexler Private Cemetery, in the middle of the housing development. Please note also that this cemetery differs from the Trexler Park Cemetery in Allentown, but both are in Lehigh County, Pa.
