About Johannes Blubaugh
John was one of the 10,000 Hessian mercenary soldiers brought over from Germany by King George III to defend the British cause. Prior to his death in 1825, John moved his family to Somerset County, PA, 40 miles NW of Mt. Savage, Maryland.
