According to records in the Baynard Martin Collection at the Buffalo Historical Society, Buffalo, NY Misc Dept. Box 11: 6 of the children came to the US: Peter, Regina, Catherine, Eva, Balthasar and John. However it lists the parents of Jean/Johannes Federspiel as Mathias Federspiel and Anna Maria Roth.

"The family Federspiel came from Tirol and in 1722 removed to Waldhausen in Lothringen near Bitsch. Mathias Federspiel and his wife Anna Roth, Johannes Federspiel, son of the above mentioned married couple went to Waldhausen with Magdalena Roth, daughter of Mathias Roth and Margaret Gerold. Their children were all born in Waldhausen: Johann George, died in Spain; Peter F. - went to Spain on an expedition and came to the USA on July 4, 1862, and went to White's Corners, County of Erie, State of New York; Regina F. (Cotti) came to the USA ca. 1828, lived in Buffalo, New York. She was born 30 Oct. 1792. She resided at 480 Pearl St., Buffalo, NY, and died there at 3:40 am Thursday, 5 Sept. 1878 (St. Louis Church); Catherine Federspiel (Wagner) lived in Amherst, NY (outside of Buffalo, NY); Eva Federspiel (Persch) lived in Buffalo, NY (may have moved to Chicago); Jean b. Waldhausen died age 1 yr.; Anna Marie d. Waldhausen age 18 years; Anna Marie d. Waldhausen age 2 years; Balthazar Federspiel came with Zimmer and Wagner (actually this reads that he was a carpenter (zimmer) and wagonmaker (wagner) to the USA to Co. of Niagara, Lockport, NY; John Federspiel came to White's Corners, NY Erie Co. (From the research of an unknown individual who indicates it is supposedly in the Baynard Martin Folder at the Buffalo Historical Society, NY however it was obtained second hand and not directly from the folder so he is not sure if it is correct - Nov. 12, 1980 sent to me by George L. Glotzbach 4/16/1996) (The same information appears in a paper originally written in German and translated by Alice (Blattner) Huber, who was born in Switzerland and speaks fluent German, the German version was in the papers of Baynard Martin. Alice was the one who caught the zimmer and wagner as occupations).
