Johannes Franciscus Deyzel (Deysel), b5

A little information is available about Johannes Franciscus Deysel from: familysearch.org as well as from other references to the family name Deysel, Deyzel, Deijsel, Dyssel etc. He is apparently the son of Johannes (or Jan) Frederich Deysel who was born in Elsen, Germany in 1752 and probably came to the Cape as a recruit of the F.O.C, hence the possible name changes from the original German to a more Dutch sounding name. He was baptised in the Dutch Reformed Church in Uitenhage on August 29th 1762, so his birth date must precede that date. His first marriage is recorded as being in 1782 when he would have been a young man of twenty years. Another marriage may have taken place at the much later date of 1820 when he would have been 58 years of age. (any comments or clarification of these marriages would be most welcome).
