Johannes Gerdener Grové

Johannes Gerdner Grove was born in Clanwilliam, Obtained a double degree at Stellenbosch University..BA and B Comm as well as Masters degree.. He was appointed Head of South African Railways at the young age of 32, and became the CEO of South African Airways later in his life. He was the Half Marathon champion of SA in the 1920’s. He served on several boards..Chairman of Glaxo, Glaxo Allenbury, Millborrow& Co, Hickman and Kleber..he was also a director at The Oude Meester Group as well as The Southern Building Society..he was also on the Executive Committee at IATA from 1959-66, as well as the South African Tourist Corporation from 1959-1966.
