"Hey Judith - this is my Granny - Anna Potgieter nee Janeke's brother in law - I just fond the marriage record on Family search .. prior was stated Catherine was x Wessels xx Kasselman .. but this state they both where single when they got married .. I have no record of the Wessel marriage .. so I left if out for now - but if you think we should add it - its cool with me. Would appreciate you being the curator for these profiles too ... hope you don't mind - but I know that accuracy is really important to you too :-) When I have more time to be here daily - I will come help out more often to keep the tree need and correct "

JJ Kasselman marriage to SC Jäneke record [https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:KSLR-L82] Lived on the farm Damspruit, not sure about area - could be between Theunissen and Brandfort? Marriage took place in Bloemftonein as per record.

CITING THIS RECORD - At the time of his marriage on 1 August 1870, Johannes was aged 25 years, a Farmer from the farm ' Damspruit ' Bloemfontein District.

Need to research more - it also seems that this child is born ? July 1971 but baptism record shows to be baptised 4 July 1869 - don't think you could be baptised before you where born. The person who entered the entry seemed to have been in a hurry as as names entered been striped out and re-entered. Also mothers name does not make sense - I can not find a Sussanna Maria - but Kasselman did marry a Sussana Catherina Jäneke. The witness of this childs baptism appeared to be the uncle and aunt of Sussanna Catherina Janeke and the brother and sister-in-law of Sussana Catherina Jäneke, Hendrik Louise Jäneke : Joachim Fredrik & Alberta Stoffelina Jäneke . Most likely the child is named after Alberta Stoffelina Jäneke , wife of JOachim Fredrik Jäneke
