About Johannes Schnuch [Snook]

From the birth dates and birth places of his children, it appears that Johannes and his eldest children immigrated to America during great migration of Protestant Palatinates in the late 1730's. 1738 was called the "Year of the Avenging Angel" because nearly 1 in 3 of the immigrants from the Palatinate died of illness and starvation while crossing the Atlantic in overcrowded, unseaworthy boats with inadequate provisions.

Several of his children moved to Pennsylvania.
