Son of Andreas "Andrew" and Barbara (Babb) Gerberich, married Margaretta Walmer, 1790.
John Adam is generally referred to as Adam to distinguish him from his brother John. He was too young to serve in the Revolution, and his name does not occur as a separate individual in the assessments until the year 1786, when "Adam Carvery, freeman," is listed as a member of Andrew's household. In 1789 he is in possession of a farm of 100 acres, which he had increased to 150 acres by 1799. This farm was the one he moved to after his marriage, but he was not living on it when the 1790 census was taken. He seems to have farmed for a time as a tenant, for in 1793 he is mentioned as a tenant with 2 horses and 3 cows.
