He was born Oct 15, 1856 in Smaland in a farm called Adolfsberg, As parish, Jonkopings county Sweden. Immigrated to Brandon MB, CA. on May 1891.

Member,  with his family , of the First Scandinavian Mission Church on the corner of 268 Logan Ave and Ellen St Winnipeg MB CA. Was the Superintendent of Henderson Mfg Co in Winnipeg at the ( Henderson Bldg )Van Tassel Bldg , 322 Bannatyne Ave. Lived at 273 Church Ave, had a cottage in Matlock Beach, Lake Winnipeg. Buried in Elmwoood Cemetery Wpg MB, CA section 19, lot 52, grave 1 and 2  Both of these buildings are City of Winnipeg Heritage sites, ( 332 Bannatyne, 268 Logan )and are still standing in excellent condition today.
