Origin==It has been suggested that John Andrews was in Charleston Massachusetts Bay Colony 1637<ref>Wyman, Thomas Bellows. The Genealogies and Estates of Charlestown (D. Clapp, Boston, 1879) Reference Page 21</ref><ref>Pope, Charles Henry, The Pioneers of Massachusetts: A Descriptive List, Drawn from Records of the Colonies, Towns, and Churches, and Other Contemporaneous Documents, published 1900. Reference page 18</ref> this puts John's birth year to about 1616, perhaps in Wales which may be a little early. Anderson does not list John in the Great Migration Directory and Savage's entry for John begins with the death of his wife Lucy in 1653<ref>Savage,James. A Genealogical Dictionary of the First Settlers of New England (Little, Brown and Company, Boston, 1862) vol 1 page 54</ref> this suggests that John was born closer to 1630 somewhere in England or Wales.

The record does not say when the property was purchased.<ref>"Charlestown Land Records", pages 141-2. Notes==*The descendants of Henry Andrews-82 of Taunton are often confused with descendants of John Andrews-843 of Boston (this profile). The situation is likely made worse by the fact that the two lines intersect, atleast, with Ebenezer Andrews-5208, son of Samuel Andrews-5207 (a descendant of John) and Mary Pitts-1969 (a descendant of Henry).
