FATHER DIES; CHILDREN HAVE SCARLET FEVER (Tiffin Tribune, August 16, 1922)

Funeral services for John Ballreich, aged 47, who died this morning at 6 o'clock in his home, 143 Franklin St. are to be held this afternoon at the Kishler Chapel. His death was due to the complications of diseases following a long illness.

Besides his widow he leaves three children who are sick at the present time with scarlet fever. On account of the home being quarantined, the body was taken to the undertaking establishmet so that public services could be held.

BALLREICH FUNERAL TO BE HELD SATURDAY (Tiffin Tribune, Aug. 17, 1922)

Services for John Ballreich, aged 47, who died Wednesday morning in his home, 143 Franklin St., are to be held Saturday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock in the Kishler chapel, conducted by the Rev. A.E. Klick. Burial will be at Greenlawn Cemetery.

Mr. Ballriech's death was due to tuberculosis. He had bee in failing health for over a year and had been unable to work for the last three months. Mr. Ballriech had been a life long resident of this city. His wife and nine children survive.
