John Bass died testate. One of the witnesses to his will, proved April 2, 1762, was John Adams who later became President of the United States. The names of the children of John Bass and the birth date of each were recorded by the town clerk in Braintree, Massachusetts. Will dated 7 Aiug 1761, proved 2 April 1762[1]
