notes
Barnett allegedly was south of Nashville and north of Brentwood, which does not seem entirely accurate. What was Nashville during this John's lifetime was northeast of Brentwood. Nashville's city government consolidated with Davidson County's government in 1963; most of the other communities of Davidson County - presumably including Barnett - were annexed by Nashville during or after the consolidation.
This John was allegedly "of Toccoa, Tennessee" but there no longer is a so-named community in Tennessee if there ever was one.
