  • (16) Sir Roger16 Wentworth, Kt., of Codham Hall, was sheriff of the counties of Essex and Hertford in 1499. He died 9 August 1539, aged 74, and was buried at Gosfield, co. Essex. He married Anne, daughter and heir of Humphrey Tyrrell, Esq., of Little Warley, co. Essex, and heir also to her mother Isabel, daughter and heir of John Helion, Esq. She died 28 August 1534, and was buried at Gosfield. They had issue as follows: --
