John Bingham, Goldsmith of London was born in 1628 in Sheffield, Yorkshire, England. His parents were Thomas Bingham, Ill and Anna Backus.

John married Bridget {Bingham} Watson (Woodley) circa 1660. Together they had the following children:

• Mary Bingham;
• Ann Bingham;
• James Bingham, II;
• Margaret Styles.

He died before 1686 in London, England, London, England (United Kingdom) and was buried in London, England.

The Bingham Family were members of the Church of England and Episcopal Church. We need to check Quaker/ The Friends So. meeting notes of when James I or James II left the religion. At some point the Bingham family of Philadelphia were Episcopalian. When in England, birth records Church of England.
