John Blair was the son of Thomas Blair & Rebecca Andrews.
John Blair was the husband of Charity Bourne, the daughter of William Bourne & Rosa Jones.
John Blair was a prominent citizen of Grayson County, VA. For several years, John Blair was a Representative in the Virginia Legislature from Grayson County, VA.
John Blair & his wife, Charity Bourne lived at Blair's Forge, near what is now known as Blair's Depot, Carroll County, VA.
The Blair's were the parents of 3 sons & 6 daughters:
Thomas Blair (1789-1876); Polly Blair (1794-1895); Rosamond Bourne Blair Hale (1797-1875); Rebecca Blair Stone (1801-1879); Lorenza Dow Blair (1807-1862); Celia D. Blair Jones (1807-1896); Elizabeth Blair Waugh (1812-1901); Algernon Sidney Blair (1915-1904) and Lucinda "Lucindy" Blair Howard (1818-1886).
John Blair died on July 12, 1852 and is buried in the Blair Cemetery, Cliffview, Carroll County, VA.
