When John Alexander (Jack) Blair was born on 1 January 1871 in Wanganui, Manawatu-Wanganui, his father, Duncan, was 38 and his mother, Agnes, was 28. He married Ada Evelyn Cutfield in 1907 in New Zealand. They had two children during their marriage. He died on 12 April 1911 in Wellington, Wellington, at the age of 40, and was buried in his hometown.
John Alexander Blair (c.1871 – 12 April 1911) was a New Zealand rugby union player who represented the All Blacks in 1897. His position of choice was hooker. Blair did not play in any test matches as New Zealand did not play their first until 1903.
