He married Cynthia Louisa Berry on 12 Mar 1880 in St. George, Washington County, UT USA, daughter of John William Berry and Jane Elizabeth Thomas.

Married Cynthia Louisa Berry at St. George Temple March 12, 1880. Married Thurza Elizabeth Berry at St. George Temple April 15, 1886 by James Black. He went to St. Johns, Arizona September 23, 1888. He died November 3, 1926. He was the father of 21 children, 16 of whom survived him at his death. He was a scholar, teacher, missionary and loving friend and a kind and considerate husband and father."
