”John Bryan of Craven County, Merchant to Lewis Bryan, son of Edward Bryan, late of Craven County, Providence aforesaid, deceased, Planter, . . . John Bryan and Cady, his wife .. .130 acres of land part of survey granted to John Bryan by his Majesty's patent, 1739. . . east side of Goose Creek, beginning at a cypress at the edge of Pocosin...to Owens Branch." sells to Lewis Bryan, son of Edward Bryan late of Craven Co. . ."reserves 10 square feet from the center of the spot of land, where said Edward and his wife are buried" ( Edward Bryan witness) , son of Edward and Christian Bryan, died between 1745 and 1746. dates of his will; and Edward bryan son of Lewis and Elizabeth Bryan died in 1762, his will. hence the Edward Bryan deceased in 1744 was Edward who married Christian Council. This proved that Edward and Christian Bryan had a son Lewis Bryan.
