About John E. Burgess / Burges
Stirnet's "Brydges01" and "Brydges02" pages do not mention this John. If this John truly was a son of the 5th Baron Chandos, he should have been noteworthy enough (as a son of a baron) to be mentioned in the sources on which Stirnet's "Brydges02" page is based. Given that, and seeing that the Chandos-barony branch of the Brugge/Bruges was seated in Gloucestershire (the 5th Baron Chandos was styled "of Coberley") and that this John was born and died in Cornwall, it seems likely that this John was not only not a son of the 5th Baron, but not even a member of the Brugge/Bruges/Brydges family in Gloucestershire.
