John Chase married, 1697/1698, his second cousin, Abigail Chase, daughter of James Chase and Elizabeth Green Chase. They resided in Hampton, New Hampshire and had the following children:[1][2] (Need confirming through primary sources)

James b 28 July 1698 Jonathan b 21 Oct 1700 Elizabeth b 13 Apr 1703 Elihu b 7 Sept 1705, d 30 Nov 1794; m 9 Dec 1729 Mary Swaine; had: John Elizabeth William, m Anna, d of John Greene Solomon Zaccheus Rachel Abial Lydia Miriam Anna Asahel Patience John b 18 Sept 1708; m Anne Runlet or Rundlett, 27 Mar 1730; children: James Thomas John Charles; might be he who m 25 May 1758 Mary, dau of Gershom Griffith; three children Jacob Hannah, b 10 May 1711; m Thomas Fuller The date of John Chase's death remains a mystery. There are probate records dated 1727 - signed by John's three surviving sons - regarding a division of the deceased's estate.

NOTE REGARDING DAVID CHASE: David Chase - born 20 October 1710 - was likely the youngest son of John Chase Sr. and Lydia Challis Chase. Not the son of John Chase Jr. In his will, written 2 October 1730, John Chase Sr. wrote:

"Item. I give and bequeath unto my son David Chase and to his Heirs & Assigns forever all my estate both Real & personal of what name or nature soever that is not otherwise Disposed of in this my Last will & Testament, especially my House & Barn with all my out housing where I no Dwell with my homestead living where I no Dwell Provided this my son execute this my last will & Testament & pay all my Just Debts .."
