John William Cieminski

Obituary - Winona Herald: Death of John W. Cieminski - John W. Cieminski, 75, 168 High Forest Street, died at 6:30 a.m. Sunday at his home after an illness of eight months with a heart ailment. He was born February 10, 1868 in Grajecki Poland and came to Winona from there 63 years ago. Mr. and Mrs. Cieminski celebrated their golden wedding anniversary November 21, 1942. Mr. Cieminski was formerly a janitor at Winona Teacher's College for 33 years, retiring seven years ago. Survivors are his wife; two sons, Sylvester and Alois, Winona; two daughters, Mrs. George Frisch and Mrs. Frank Ritter, Winona; seven grandchildren, and three brothers, Frank and Joseph Cieminski, Winona and Michael Cieminski, state of Washington. Funeral services will be conducted at 9 a.m. Wednesday at the St. Stanislaus Church, the Rt. Rev. J.F. Cieminski officiating. Preliminary services will be conducted at the Watkowski Funeral Home at 8:30 a.m. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. The Rosary will be said at the funeral home at 7:30 p.m. today and Tuesday. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. today.
